She focuses on healthy vocal technique, finding one's true voice and personality along with using acting fundamentals for any type of singing. Ashley excels at prepping auditions, building your book, and learning how to belt healthfully. She has students of all types - professional singers to amateurs and college students to high school/middle school. Piano: Ashley teaches piano for beginners ages 12 - adult, who are looking to start their passion for music.
Audition Book Prep: Need to put your audition book together or find new pieces? Ashley has an extensive digital library and and can prep songs perfect for your voice and type. Whether you are a professional or young student, Ashley can help you get excited about what is in your audition book.
Online Lessons: At the beginning of the pandemic, Ashley moved her studio online. She now has moved locally back into lessons in person, but continues to teach online. Technology has made online lessons a wonderful alternative. Ashley puts together occasional special events like masterclasses with Broadway/West End performers, virtual recitals, and more. About Ashley
Originally from Wisconsin, Ashley is a professional Equity singer/actress, having lived and worked in NYC and all over the country. In Kansas City, Ashley has been seen at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, New Theatre Restaurant, Kansas City Actors Theatre, Starlight Theatre, Musical Theatre Heritage, Quality Hill Playhouse, and Chestnut Fine Arts Center. Ashley holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. Ashley is an experienced accompanist, having played piano for 30 years. She has been playing for church since she was ten, accompanying students, choirs, and productions since she was 14, and during he time living in NYC, she freelanced as a vocal coach and accompanist. She also plays numerous other instruments, including guitar, bass, ukulele, accordion as well as works as a professional director, musical director and choreographer.
