Ashley is certainly one to embrace change.
It's probably due to the fact that she grew up
in Minneapolis, MN; Philadelphia, PA; West
Chicago, IL; Watertown, La Crosse, and
Manitowoc, WI, where her family now resides.
Ashley landed leads in high school,
including Miss Adelaide in GUYS AND
DOLLS and Miss Hannigan in ANNIE,
but it wasn’t until a close friend
encouraged her to go for it that Ashley
took off with it. At the same time, she
continued to play piano and show
horses, at times shoveling a lot of horse
manure in exchange to ride.
Ashley didn't start theatre until she was a sophomore in
high school. It was through numerous piano summer camp
competitions where Ashley first discovered her love of
musical theatre, because watching musicals was a way to
score points. Being very competitive, Ashley watched
every musical available on video in order to win.
In 2007, Ashley graduated with honors with a
BFA in Musical Theatre from Viterbo
University in La Crosse, WI, one of the
Midwest's up and coming schools for musical
theatre. During her years at Viterbo, Ashley
performed in many productions, her favorites
being BLITHE SPIRIT (Madame Arcati),
THE SPITFIRE GRILL (Effy), and HOW TO
SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT
REALLY TRYING.
Since graduating, Ashley has moved to NYC and worked at regional theatres all over the country, from
NYC to Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas and more. Some
of her favorite shows include: Lizzie in BABY (Great Plains Theatre), Nellie Forbush in SOUTH
PACIFIC (Cumberland County Playhouse), Denise Sanders in SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN
(Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre), Lois Warner in BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO (New Stage Theatre),
Maggie in LEND ME A TENOR (Great Plains Theatre), Gracie in the regional premiere of FLIGHT OF
THE LAWNCHAIR MAN (Cumberland County Playhouse), Sally Brown in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN,
CHARLIE BROWN (Great Plains Theatre), Miss Hannigan in ANNIE (Wagon Wheel Theatre),
GUYS AND DOLLS (Armory Dinner Theatre). Click Here to see her full RESUME.
